The New York Giants have added veteran quarterback Jameis Winston on a two-year deal worth 8 million dollars. The move will give them a veteran presence in the locker room and he will definitely be able to get his receivers the ball.
Winston, 31, spent last season with the Cleveland Browns, playing in 12 games that saw him throw for 2,121 yards, 13 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. While he has been known for his gunslinger mentality his turnover issues is the main reason he can’t stick with a team long term. That being said, he still possesses one of the strongest arms in the league and can push the ball downfield effectively.
Winston will serve as a stop gap for the Giants who will either draft a QB in this years draft and have him sit behind Winston until he is ready, or see what Winston can do and focus on potentially drafting Arch Manning in next years draft.
