St. John’s Wins First Big East Title Since 2000

For the first time since 2000 the St. John’s Red Storm are Big East Tournament Champions. The Red Storm defeated Creighton 82-66 to secure their first conference tournament championship in 25 years, marking a return to prominence for one of college basketball’s historic programs.

St. John’s, who is led by head coach legend Rick Pitino, put together an impressive Big East Tournament run, showcasing grit, determination, and high level execution. The victory not only ends their decades long title drought but also solidifies their return as a force in the Big East, potentially for years to come.

The win serves as a huge recruiting boost, proving that St. John’s is once again a top destination for elite talent.

Led by RJ Luis, Zuby Ejiofor, and Kadary Richmond the Red Storm will look to build on there nine game winning streak and make there mark in this years NCAA Tournament.
