The Yale Bulldogs are heading to the NCAA Tournament after outlasting Cornell in a fast-paced, high-scoring Ivy League Championship game. The game started fast, with both teams coming out firing, turning it into an offensive showcase. However, Yale made key plays down the stretch to separate themselves and secure their eighth Ivy League Championship title by a score of 90-84.
In the second half, Yale’s talent and composure made the difference. Every time Cornell tried to chip away at the lead late in the game, Yale always had an answer.
Led by Guard John Poulakidas’ 25-point performance, the Bulldogs will be dancing once again after securing their ticket to the Big Dance.
