Duke showed why they should be the NCAA Tournaments number one overall seed Saturday night overcoming massive injuries to defeat Louisville and secure their 23rd ACC Championship Title. Playing without Cooper Flagg and Malik Brown, the Blue Devils got off to a slow start but really kicked it into high gear after trailing at half time. The Blue Devils showed the world just how dominant of a program they are this year.
Even when it things weren’t going good Duke’s talent and depth shined on the brightest stage. Coach Jon Scheyer has a talented group of young men this season and he is going to milk every ounce of talent out of whoever is on the court for the Blue Devils when the tournament begins.
With an Auburn loss to Tennessee earlier in the day, Duke may have just jumped the Tigers for the number one over all seed when the comity decides who is in and who is out Sunday night. If Flagg and Brown return healthy, it will be hard to not consider Duke as the favorites to cut down the net’s after the final game of the year.
