Puka Nacua has already made a huge impact in the NFL, but he doesn’t plan on sticking around for any loner then 6-7 more years. The Los Angeles Rams star receiver recently revealed that he plans to retire by the age of 30, following in the footsteps of former teammate Aaron Donald, who walked away while still at the top of his game.
Nacua, who turns 24 in May, said his goal is to prioritize his health and family, rather than play into his mid or late 30s like many receivers. “I think finishing my career while still playing at a high level would be super cool,” Nacua said.
Nacua had a prolific rookie season, where he shattered records for receiving yards and receptions, and already after just two years has proven himself as one of the league’s best wideouts. While his early retirement plan may shock some fans, he’s focused on making the most of his time in the NFL while he’s still at his peak.
